Enyo in Greek Mythology was an ancient goddess of war, acting as a counterpart and companion to the war god Ares. She is also identified as his sister, and daughter of Zeus and Hera, in a role closely resembling that of Eris; with Homer (in particular) representing the two as the same goddess. She is also accredited as the mother of Enyalius, a minor war god, by Ares. However, the name Enyalius can also be used as a title for Ares himself.

As goddess of war, Enyo is responsible for orchestrating the destruction of cities, often accompanying Ares into battle, and depicted “as supreme in war”. During the fall of Troy, Enyo inflicted horror and bloodshed in the war, along with Eris, and Phobos (“Fear”) and Deimos (“Dread”), the two sons of Ares.

Sorry to disappoint but no big story about how or why I started using Enyo.  It was just a name a arbitrarily picked when trying to thing of an  XBL gamertag.

Anways, I’m a twenty-something anime fan based in Solvang, CA.  I’ll never forget the first anime I ever watched was Gundam Wing.  I was on vacation with my parents in Hawaii, probably around the time I was in eighth grade or a freshman, I caught an episode on Cartoon Network.  I can’t say I was immediately as stuck as I am now but I was definitely interested.  When I got back I was on a mission to find more.  For the next few years I stuck with mostly mecha related animes like gundam and zoids.  It wasn’t until my senior year in high school, when I got a Netflix account, that I started devouring as much anime as I possibly could.  Netflix was my crack.  Check out myanimelist.net to see the complete list of anime’s I’ve watched since then.

In my college years my spiral into beoming an otaku continued further.  I can’t claim to be a full otaku; I prefer to stick with beginner otaku for now.  My got tight so I had to say goodbye to Netflix but said hello to torrents.  Around the time Naruto and Bleach started airing in the USA was the time I decided I needed more anime than I could possibly get watching TV and started downloading subs.  Today I’ve got a five-hundred gig hardrive almost full of anime.  Trench keeps trying to convince me to get a terabyte but I refuse.  I know that I’ll end up filling that as well.

As I entered my last year of college(Humboldt State University FTW) I bought my first figure, Lunamaria Hawke from Gundam Seed Destiny.  Wanted Lacus Clyne and still do but can’t find her.  Again things spiraled out of control and over the past four years I’ve bought 40+ figures.

Last but definitely not least I come to my daughters, Aoi and Saber.  I adopted Aoi first and absolutely had to have Saber after that.  Like many I was originally put off by the dolls and especially the joints.  But after seeing them on Dannychoo, I began to need one more and more.  Now I love them, as you could probably tell by the site name, and am spending all of my budget on new outfits and accessories.
