Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica was a really cool series that I watched a couple of years ago and I was excited when I read that a sequel was announced.  Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica Crimson S is actually a prequel to the first series and tells the story of when the two main characters originally started working together.  Downloaded every episode of  as soon as I could and have been waiting to get a block of free time to sit down and really get into this series.  Ended up being a little let down though.

Downloaded Shikabane Hime: Aka and its sequel Shikabane Hime: Kuro when they first came out and its been sitting on my watch list ever since.  In general the story is revolves around Makina Hoshimura, an undead girl who seeks to destroy 108 corpses in order to go to heaven.  Cute girls with guns and swords, win win situation for me or at least it should have been.  I’ve only watched the first season and just finished episode 9 of the second but I feel comfortable giving my opinion of the series before finishing it.  The series is a portrayal of mediocrity.

Long Hair Eureka FTW!!

Watched the Eureka Seven movie this evening, Eureka Seven: Pocketful of Rainbows.  I had no knowledge of the story for this movie going into it, a rarity for me nowadays.  Right away I realized that this movie would be a completely different telling of the story rather than a sequel or summary as I had assumed.  Quick thanks to Nanashi for subbing this movie before the review.

Group shot for to meet everyone’s needs.  I choose the middle three.  And to be perfectly honest I really have no use for Kirche or Tiffania.  Trench will disagree but there is a point where big is too big.  Montmorency is fine but she’s annoying and I just don’t care.  Anyway, I’m getting sidetracked.  I finally got around for to watching the third season of Zero no Tsukaima.

Just finished watching the fifth episode in the Hellsing Ultimate series.  Overall I got to say not much happened.  It was cool but would probably work better if I had watched all the other episodes recently and could actually remember what was going on.  That and my biggest problem with the Hellsing series’ has always been the lack of Seras Victoria.  This episode hits a new low with only a quick mention of her name and a reflection of her face in someone’s glasses.  Anyway, I’ve been meaning to watch it and finally broke myself away from gaming.  The episode was cool but a little slow, a lot of exposition going on and random killing.  End of the episode teases a return of Alucard to the battle, so hopefully that will be cool as well.

If you weren’t aware, the fifth episode in the Hellsing Ultimate series went became available for torrent on Baka-updates today.  I’ve really enjoyed this series and recently convinced Trench to watch the first series.  He enjoyed it as well has the Ultimate series on his netflix.  Anyways, can’t wait to watch this episode, though unfortunately I probably won’t get a chance to until the weekend.  Get it from your favorite download site soon.
